Minister of Youth, Sport, and Arts Elvis Nkandu says cooperatives that were selected without due diligence through political inclinations will be excluded from the fuel tanker empowerment program.

Mr. Nkandu says the government has all the information on how some youths were used as front runners by politically exposed persons to benefit from the tanker empowerment program.

Addressing hundreds of cooperative members from across the country in Lusaka earmarked to benefit from the empowerment scheme, Mr Nkandu also castigated directors at the Ministry for delayed implementation of the program.

He adds that cooperatives under the fuel tanker program will soon commence receiving dividends by the first week of October 2023.
