Chileshe Chanda expressed her feelings about her remarkable achievement in Mechatronics Engineering by stating, “Today, I stand on the shoulders of countless dreams, late nights, and unwavering determination.”
She reflected on being the first Zambian student to earn a distinction in this field and mentioned that as a woman, the journey was challenging, but her passion drove her forward. She extended her gratitude to those who believed in and supported her, emphasizing that her achievement symbolized breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes.
Chileshe encouraged young girls and women to pursue their dreams and acknowledged her parents, saying, “Mommy and daddy, I have fulfilled the promise I made.” She dedicated her success to dreamers and trailblazers, envisioning a future where boundaries continue to be pushed, and a world where anything is possible.
