FORMER Zambia Air Force (ZAF) commander Ronnie Shikapwasha’s wife, Jane Lusengo, 73, has pleaded not guilty to k!lling her husband.
On March 20, Lusaka Magistrates Court committed Lusengo to the High Court for trial in a matter she is accused of shøøting dëad her husband.
Trial for mürdër, which attracts up to life imprisonment, will start this Thursday. Lusengo, 73, is alleged to have mürdëred Retired Lieutenant-General Shikapwasha, who is also a former Cabinet minister, on January 15, 2024.
According to police, the housewife allegedly shøt Gen Shikapwasha, 76, using a døuble bärrel shotgun at the couple’s Ibex Hill house in Lusaka.
After the alleged shoøøting, Gen Shikapwasha was rushed to Maina Soko Medical Centre, where he d!ed the following day.
Yesterday, the widow, clad in a black attire with a matching head wrap and an off pink scuff, appeared before Lusaka High Court Judge Conceptor Zulu for plea.
