People from all walks of life this morning gathered at the cathedral of the child Jesus in Lusaka’s longacres area to bid farewell to the late Eric Mwamba Kasolo.
Zambia’s Sixth President, His Excellency Dr. Edgar Lungu was among mourners that went to pay his last respect.
A requiem mass was held for the former Zambia national service (ZNS) officer at the cathedral of the child Jesus, who died on Monday 16th, October in Kitwe on the Copperbelt after a short illness, aged 68.
The late Kasolo SNR was the elder brother to former eastern province permanent secretary Mr. Chanda Kasolo.
Patriotic Front Acting President, Hon. Given Lubinda, Patriotic Front chairman for information and publicity Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba, former cabinet ministers and senior members of the party, were among the leaders that had accompanied the former President.
Other prominent leaders present were Former First Lady, Amb. Dr, Christine Kaseba Sata , Socialist Party President, Dr. Fred M’membe and Zambia Must Prosper Leader Kelvin Bwalwa Fube.
